Here is mine way back in 1971 my dad brought me home from St. Johns hospital in his gto tiger gold 1957 chevy belair 327 cross ram 4speed when i was 7 he had a 69 ram rod olds 442 one of my uncle's had a 68 442 olds with a 396 chevy in it the other uncle had a 67 chevelle with a Ls7 454 he would drag race it ran low 12's at detroit dragway my dad would take us to watch about once a month My uncles had an auto repair shop on 8-mile road in detroit dad used to take us up there even my mom had a 68 nova ss 396 before i was born. There was countless hotrod's always around in the family When I was growing up ! It's in my Blood Thick when I was 13 for summer vacation I worked at an uncles buddies body shop when I was 16 I borrowed my dads 77 caprice classic he put a 350 vette motor in and took it to the high school nationals @ milan It ran 16.45 3 times in time trials silly me puts a dial in of 15.99 on the window guess what I ran 16.45 I really didnt get to the track much for the next few years in 1993 I had a 1972 307 nova when i bought it had a power glide in it when the trans blew up i put a th 350 with a lil stall and a shift kit in it it ran pretty good so i swapped in a small cam, intake and a 600 holley i started going bracket racing that spring and met some cool people and ended up bracket racing most every weekend the car ran 15.5 by the end of the year i put a 4.10 rear headers and slicks I finished the year at 14.5's and 3 third place finishes over the winter I bulit a 357 11-1 sbc put in a 3000 stall and went in the 12's always goin a few rounds and had a few more good finishes in 1995 i was in the points race at milan with a 84 regal with a 327 in it that was my daily driver it ran low 14's i finished 5th in points and went to the bracket finals @ irp i lost in the first round there but i scored my first perfect light at indy in 96 i bought my current car it was a gutted bracket car for $1800 it had a 327 with a rod nock i bought a used 353 with a roller cam and sportsman heads from a buddy of mine for $2000 his car looked exactly like Kevins car (red tubbed 70 nova) took 5 weeks worth of work to get the car to go straight but it ran low 11's on 275/ 60's through the exaust and i finally got my 1st first place finish in 1997 detroit dragway closed its gates I had always been interested in fastest street car racing since it came out in the early 90's so I set out to turn my car into a 10.5 warrior well in late sept off 1999 I made it too the columbus nsca race after thrashing on the car for 3 days it started raining during my first pass the following week end i ran 10.89 @ 129 on motor @ billy bobs race way (lapeer dragway)many lessons learned school of hard Knocks engine building never made it to a nsca race in 2000 I borrowed my brothers 1973 nova ss to use my rain checks from 1999, I ran in the street eliminator class and I won on saturday night

Finacial situations have kept me from racing much since 2001 when I was layed off from my manufacturing manager job getting back into paint and body since i'm not giving up with my own shop (sorta) I have the place and a lil bit of time to start working on the car again and I very much hope to be racing with all you great people in 2005!
