We are pleased to announce that V. Keith Seymore will join the extended-range electric vehicles (E-REV) team as Vehicle Engineer for the Chevrolet Volt, effective March 1, 2009.
In his new role Keith is assigned to cover the 20XX MY XXXX XXXXXX derivative program and other 20XX MY variants of the Chevrolet Volt. He will report to Nate Fitzpatrick, Program Engineering Manager, and will remain located at the VEC in Warren, Michigan.
Keith has a strong background in vehicle development, and 10 years experience as a Vehicle Engineer, most recently for the HUMMER H2 programs. Keith joined GM in 1979 after graduating from GMI and has worked in many different areas including production, brake & driveline development and chassis design release. Before joining the H2 team Keith participated in every major Full Size truck program for the platform integration team since 1999 with a key role in the GMT900 Utility program. He played a major role in the launch of the 2008 H2 MCE program and has been the platform lead for all future H2 programs. His previous duties on the H2 program will be covered by William Knapp, PEM.
