A friend and I started a new business to do in our off work time. We've made $2500 this week so far.


And today we're official and registered a DBA with the county!

Basically the country is in such shambles that house values are down. We run into a TON of people that can't refinance due to current home values or credit or income. We work as an agent to get their loan modified into a better situation.

2)Get an ARM turned into a fixed loan.

Chris, help me understand how you profit (not being a smart a$$, I'm really interested in how you do this). The homeowner can't meet their monthly expenses, the financial institution has to agree to a lower interest rate. You negotiate an agreeable arrangement between the two. Where does the profit come from?

The customer pays me to be their agent to get it handled. But yes. The end result is like a refinance more or less. A better mortgage than where they are currently at.
