Rick, I had my blood work done and my cholesterol and uric acid numbers were not very good. I am on 3 meds now. :cry:


Looks like I might have to become a vegitarian if I don't want to take the meds. I don't even know if that would work.....

tofu isnt that bad actually. just a bit spongy like fish. but no taste to it really. tastes mostly like whatever it's cooked in.

My cholesterol was 202 . I'm working on my diet to try and get it down. :(

Mine was 180 beginning of the year. I went a month ago and it was 239. :twisted: :twisted:

I did have a bad eating weekend before I had my blood taken on the following Monday.

My Triglycerides have always been on the high side also...

We were "vegan" vegetarians, many years back, trying to control my wife's cholesterol.

Actual audio from a real conversation:

Wife: "Well, what do you think of the tofu 'chicken'?"

Me: "....mmm, it has that 'distinct tofu taste'..."

Wife: "Thank you...


....


...wait a minute - tofu doesn't have 'taste'!"

Me: :wink:

It didn't work for us; my wife got so anemic that her doctor said "girl, you need to eat a HAMBURGER!"

I couldn't live without cheese...

I try and watch what I eat now for past few years. I'm not a saint but I think I am usually pretty good about it.
