Cool! I also need options for oatmeal and cottage cheese, I honestly have tried every variation of both, can't do it! Gotta decide a good time to start this, got a friend bringing up filet and lobster(not for me) from Delaware this weekend soooo maybe Monday!

We are going to have to name this diet as half the board is on it now, BBNOVA DIET,
I don't even consider it a diet I guess, I'm eating all the time, it's hard to make sure you eat every 2.5 hours, takes some preparing to do it, but it works because it keeps your matabilisum up all day long.

HEY GUYS!!!!! I have been running my sale this week and missed out on sooo much!!!

I am so happy everyone is on to this! It really isn't anything difficult to do, other than, like Dogg said, preparing.

The key I learned is that if I don't like it, I won't be happy about it, so I won't stick to it. I was told to eat the plain old Quaker Oats... YUK! So, I found the Instant with the "less sugar" oatmeal (Apples/cinnamon or Maple brown sugar) match up pretty darn close in the nutritional facts, so, hey... why not add some flavor? I can't stand cottage cheese, so I skipped that too, I chose the oatmeal. ANY kind of consistant nutrition plan will help, as long as it is the right foods and you try to squeeze in, even, a 20 minute walk each day. Eating the 6 times per day keeps your metabolism moving all day, so you are burning calories constantly. If you are ready and can add strength training a few times a week, that, too, will increase you metabolism. Or.... when you get out of bed in the morning, drink a glass of water, jog in place for one minute and do 50 jumping jacks to get that heart rate started for the day! Soooo easy and quick! As far as the eggs go, I choose to use 1/4 cup egg beaters along with one egg white... just even lower on the added "junk".... tastes the same.

Shannon, you can have your glass of wine. I, personally, found that depriving myself completely caused me to binge and pig out at times... that is NOT good. So, if you like a glass of wine each day, go for it.

I have found that the turkey is sometimes very difficult to find. But, try to stay away from the sausages. Even though they are turkey, they still have a lot of extra "stuff" in them. If you can find the tenderloins or turkey "breasts" (sorry, had to say it, hee hee).... then that is actually the best. But, if you like tuna or fish, then that is even better yet. (obviously, not fried in batter).

This is awesome! I am so proud of Brian, Carol and the kids! They are doing great! (keeps me in check, too!!!!)

Well, guys, I will be running my sale the rest of the week. I will try to check in here occassionally and see what is new. Have a great week!

P.S. OH, and Shannon... you can start any time. Even if you started on Thursday, and had your special "treats" this weekend... you will have at least started. Every day counts! And every day makes a difference! I also learned that even if you have a bad weekend (and say, drink about 10 beers and eat a bunch of cheeseburgers from a track....and gain 5 pounds......) if you jump right back on board, immediately.... those pounds literally FALL right back off. Just don't let them "get comfortable".

Thanks Mel. I've hit a platoooo. I haven't lost any weight in the last 3 days, so I'm going to make sure I excercise a bit longer tonight before pool league and hit the mountain bike this weekend at least twice, that ought to get it moving again. :D

Don't let those scales discourage you! Like I told you Sunday... that doesn't matter. And, for the record, I am sure you already know... but, losing 10 pounds per week consistantly is not healthy. You will always lose more in the beginning, but, if you lose about 1/2 pound daily, or 2.5 pounds per week.... that is the best for your body and health.

I am so excited about your motivation!!! Keep it up!

(due to an UNFORTUNATE mouse incident this morning, I was up and AWAKE waaay too early...so I got my strength training in this morning... I am bouncing off the walls with energy now!!!!)

hee hee... nope! I have a slight "rodent" problem. My uncle (that lives here, too) bought those mouse traps that are boxes with glue strips in them... well... SOMEHOW..... (even though this box "trap" was IN the cupboard) my black cat (the one with the mustache) must have chased the mouse into it.... and got her paw stuck on the glue strip! So, my poor kitty is running around the house trying to shake this box off her leg! Yes, this was at 4:00 AM!!!! I pryed the box off her little paw and threw it in the trash without even looking...... until a few minutes ago.... YEP... GOT HIM! (that is the 2nd one in a trap this week already!)

It was probably because the added food/weight didn't "settle".... it just seems to "fall off" if you burn it/drink lots of water/etc....right away. I have a post regarding my birthday weekend. I gained 5 pounds drinking beer and eating terribly... but, jumped right back on track that next week and it all fell right back off.

We went to the store last night and I got the cinnamon oatmeal, and like you said it is pretty good. I started this morning.
