Looking for an aftermarket wiring harness for a 1968 nova. I see painless has a harness for 1969-1972 but no 1968.Is there any difference from 68 to 69 or can i get the 69 and install with no major modifications. Is there any other companies making harnesses for 1968 nova. Thanks for any and all replies.

i wouldnt think there would be any difference in the years, i know the dashes are a little different but they all have the same components. i would give painless a call to be sure before you order if it were me.

I know the 68 had the ignition in the I.P. as apposerd to the steering colume from 1969 on....

I would call then and ask what they have. Sorry, I haven't run into this as I just put a switch box in mine and just ran wires..

Actually, Monty came over with a friend and we all did it together...

Just installed the 67 camaro harness from painless and all the harness was the same except the plug that goes into the insturment cluster was different,By that i mean the pins were in different loactions in the plug. But the harness was a nice fit and the harness was long enough for a nova

I'm just in the process of switching the pins in the plug. I have to find some info on the 68 nova plug. The painless wiring diagram tells what all the pins in the harness are for i just have to switch to the proper location for my application. Not a big deal just a little bit of time.

Switch pins in plug for insturment cluster. Have to give a thumbs up to painless wiring, i received the wiring harness diagram in less than a day. It was no big deal to switch just used a paper clip to pop the locks on the terminals and switch into proper location.
