Chevy Nova to become giant ice cube

HOUGHTON, Mich. (AP) -- An unusual work of art is taking shape in front of the library at Michigan Tech University in Houghton.

WLUC-TV reports two artists are planning to encase a Chevrolet Nova in a huge block of ice. They describe the Nova as a remnant of the late 1970s.

The shop class at Hancock High School built a frame. The car will be placed inside, and water will be poured around it to form a giant ice cube.

The artists are Sue Wrbican of George Madison University and Mary Carothers of the University of Louisville.

I read that the other day and thought it was kind of strange. I own a 72 Nova and attended MTU. Never did it occur to me to freeze my car in a block of ice while I was there. The crap some people will do and call it "ART" :roll: Sounds like a waste of a perfectly good Nova if you ask me. They are probably the same idiots that cut a big hole in the ice covering a lake in the middle of winter then jump in.
