Nope the Heron didn't get any. I checked the water and the Ni content was too high. I added some bio-bacteria and the fish are all happy once again. There is about 100 babies swimming around that pond.

What do you do with them in the winter? Look how far off target this thread got in only a couple posts

They all stay in the pond. I had 4 of them die last year from brain damage. I tried to save 2 of them, but they were too far gone.  The bottom 18" of the pond does not freeze. I am going to install a heater in the pond this season for them to stay near. The waterfall and bio-filter run year around. Them things are very happy and friendly.. I know their just fish, but they have a personallity and eat from your hand.. Pretty cool fish..

Sounds cool . All our fish are in tanks in the house. Thought I'd like to try a pond but we live next to the woods . I think all fish would just end up as food |
