Good morning one and all!!! Not much to fess up about out here. I lead a pretty boring life! Just getting the car ready for the year. Hope to be testing by month's end. Wanna make a coupla hits at Orlando weight with the new exhaust to see if it helps and then change the manifold and test some more. I have "acquired" a PSI to do some playing around elsewhere with that we hope to test by May. I will surely miss seeing all of the BBNova peeples this summer! Perhaps I can make one of them just to visit. |

A"PSI" in our case means I purchased a screw blower as opposed to what I have always ran which is a roots blower. A screw blower has two rotors shaped as screws and make their boost without using near as much horsepower to do so. A roots blower has two rotors that have a twist in them and as they turn opposing each other they make their boost. A roots blower will make near as much boost as a screw but with a lot more horsepower drag. A screw is what you see on NHRA funny cars and dragsters. They are not allowed in street car or pro Mod racing except for Dave Hance's Shakedown at Etown, Valdosta and Orlando. The Pro Mods can only use them in Outlaw trim, aka ADRL. |
