Absolute truth!



On March 6, 1990, the service career of one Lockheed SR-71A Blackbird ended with a record-setting flight. This special airplane bore Air Force serial number 64-17972. Lt. Col. Ed Yeilding and his RSO, Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Vida, flew this aircraft from Los Angeles to Washington D.C. in 1 hour, 4 minutes, and 20 seconds, averaging a speed of 3,418 kph (2,124 mph). Now that' my friends, is hauling A$$.




or, you're in a C130 just above stall speed, approaching a dirt runway and there are ugly little sh!ts shooting at you from the ground. This also tends to cause a problem with pressurization on the return leg of the mission.



But it's really cool to fly by a thunderhead at 30,000 feet and watch the lightening dance across the clouds.
