we buy a 60 gallon air compressor a few months back, after i have the darn thing and have it less than a month (use it maybe 6 times) the pump locks up. they exchanged the air compressor after i have to argue with the lady. well today i go to use it and the motor starts making an aweful screeching noise and i cut it off. reset it and checked it out and tried it again. same thing, so something is wrong with the motor i assume. this absolutely sucks and im ticked off. lowes tells me to bring it back an they will send it off to be repaired it will take weeks. well isnt this great.... |

take it back & tell them to either give you a new one or a refund for the broken one, so that you can goto Sears & get a real one. if they wont do it, say "I would like to talk with the store manager". if that does not do it, then talk with the store manager. if he/she is not going to do it, then tell him to get the district/regional manager on the phone. dont just take his number & go home, make the store manager call him NOW. that way you can discuss it & get it resolved right then & there. if he wont do it, then get the name of the store manager, the time you were there & the clerk that you were dealing with. THE NEXT DAY, call thier corpoarate head quarters & get the district manager on the phone & explain everything with detail & im 99.999% sure you will either get a new one or a refund. My guess.................. it wont get to the district manager, the store manager REALLY does not want you talking with his boss. Bob |

MOST of all, take names & times & be polite. dont use the Ph word (like this idiot) & you will get what you want. Like my wife always says, "you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar". Bob |

when we goto return something I typically take my wife. its one of those "good cop, Bad Cop" things. I do the return & am the good cop, & if I dont get my way, I sick my wife in them. THEN they are sorry that they did not just give me my money back & STFU. Bob |

Guys you need not come up with excuses to return something. Their policy is not to screw with ya PERIOD. Lowes is more concerned you'll go to Home Depot |

ok...... yesterday my buddy shows up with his truck that has a lift gate on it. we were planning on loading it and gettting this stuff taken care of. while i was moving it out of the garage i notice a key on the ground, im thinking "what the heck does this go to?" i start looking closer and notice there isnt anything in the keyway on the pulley on the motor. well i pull the gaurd off that covers the belt and pulley then reinstall the key and tighten down the set screws that hold the pulley in place and guess what? the thing works better than ever...... |
