As posted on the NSCA site and the news I walked into this morning: NSCA Shocked and Saddened To Learn of Pat Lynch's Passing -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NSCA President Tony DePillo received news this morning that friend and staunch supporter Pat Lynch passed away last night after being admitted to a local hospital with respiratory problems. Lynch, head of motorsports for Corteco was a familiar face to NSCA racers, fans and staff. He was instrumental in keeping the movement alive after the dissolution of the partnership that formed the NMCA/NSCA Super Series. His motorsports budget fed many small organizationns, PSCA, IMCA, CFSCS, NSCA and others. His tireless efforts to promote and support our racing family will never be forgotten. Pat had begun work on his new American Muscle effort, assembling a mid generation Camaro to follow the NSCA circuit and 'get back to his racing roots'. We are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of our good friend, a man whose smile and good sense made him a joy to be around. More details will be released as we receive them. Oh man... I only met Pat one time last year at PRI, he seemed like a great guy.. Was showing me some of the head gaskets from Patrick's car. That's a shame.. God Speed Pat... |
