I would like to announce my current plans for the 2005 season in reference to Promedia events, including the NMRA and PRO series. It has come to my attention that they have signed a contract with a new photo vendor for the 2005 season. My experience in working with this vendor is not positive and I believe it would be difficult to do so in the future. So while I may be able to cover some races for Stangcrazy as my schedule and budget allow, at this time I cannot officially plan on covering any events in the 2005 NMRA and PRO Series. With the new agreement in place, I cannot afford to provide coverage for Stangcrazy and for that I do feel terrible as I really enjoy it. As stated earlier, I may be able to cover some races depending on location, my schedule and budget, but it is not something I can plan on. Everyone here has been a huge help in getting my business started and I feel that I am letting all of you down. I hope that none of you hold this against me, and understand that I have little control over this.

I did make a strong effort to become the official photo vendor and sent in a formal proposal. I was not contacted about this and am unsure as to why. However, the business plan I am working with does not call for a large overhead such as having a big trailer and other expenses. After doing this for the past two years and seeing others in the business have problems, I am not sure that is the ideal plan with the way the industry is changing. My goal is to provide quality photos and graphics services that are internet/phone friendly as I have found that many people don't have the time or resources to make purchases at the track. The people that have worked with me in the past know that I will go out of my way for you without complaint. It is my job to make sure every one of you is happy and satisfied with what you get and I love doing it. I have to correlate my beliefs on providing the best with the different series and make sure that it can be something I can grow with. It is for the above reasons that I am excited about my chance to work with the NSCA as their official photo vendor. They have seen my work and are willing to work with me on how and where the photo business is going. They have seen and understand the difficulties involved and I am thankful for being given the responsibilty to handle their photo-vending services.

Lastly, good luck to all of you and hope to see you at the races this year! If anyone wishes to discuss this with me or just shoot the breeze please feel free to call me at 609.915.4593.

Thank you all so much for the encouragement and wonderful things you have said about my work!

Kelly

Wow Kelly, that just sucks, but I hate to say it, it doesn't surprise me. The NMRA/PRO organization has proven time and time again contracts/handshakes and any other form of commitment mean nothing! For them it is all about the almighty dollar. Eventually alot of people will learn this, sadly to late! I wish you the best of luck in your endevours and can't wait to see you at the NSCA events, we support our own and you won't regret it!

Thanks Shannon! I didnt have anything formal with Promedia, i just never heard back after i submitted the proposal. I am really looking forward to this year and working with everyone at NSCA. I think it is going to be a great place for my business to grow. I like to get to know the people i sell to. That is the hardest thing about not hitting some of the other races, i will miss my friends there very much. But I am also talking with the OSCA as they are very local to my new home. I am hoping to hear back from them shortly. Plus there is WFC8 and a bunch of track rentals i plan on attending. I need to find out a contact for Edgewater Dragway since it'll only be 15 mins away i might see if i can do some test & tune stuff there, kinda like a local track photographer. Also with the graphics side of the business really starting to pick up, i hopefully wont have to worry about making the rent hehehe. :D
