Walked out of my house at 2:45 AM this morning to go to work and it was brighter than it should be at that time so right away I'm. Freakin out so I head out my drive way and look down the street and there is at least 6 fire trucks 3 houses down and the neighbors house is 3/4 of the way burned to the ground! Sheriff said everyones ok. But they just moved in last week.

Fire is a bad deal. Our first house, in Imlay City, burned in March of '86. Lots of different paths I could go in telling you about it, but I'll go this way: the inside was totally gutted; structure was ok. Fortunately we had "replacement cost" insurance and the builder was awesome, so the whole inside of the house was fixed up and redecorated within about 3 months with no out of pocket cost to us. Worked out in the end, but I do not recommend this as a remodeling technique.... K |

Yeah we lost our garage when I was about 14 and then a year later our fuse box caught fire in the basement. So I'm a little nervous about any kind of fire in the house like candles or the fireplace. |
