I did a small review

Chris,
What specs did you get ? Was this on sale ? The best price I find at Best Buy is 299.99 for a 8G SSD, no op system. Just curious how you got the price.
Jim

Mine has no web cam.

4gb SSD.

But you can put a 16GB SDHC card in (micro center has them for like $19.99)

Or you can upgrade the SSD later once they get bigger and prices drop.

The price dropped to the $179.99 at best buy....not sure how long for.

I removed linux and put windows XP on it using only my desktop PC and a 1GB USB thumbdrive and followed some instructions to get it done. if you do it step by step, it's easy.

btw: 4GBs is more than enough for windows, MS Office, and I still have 1.5 GBs free. and can then use the 16GB for storage.

It's not a super fast computer, but very sweet.

Man, That's an amazing price!

Did you install XP from CDs you had for your Desktop? Or did you purchase that too?

i downloaded XP from http://thepiratebay.org/ as that's where I download all of my music/movies/software :)

then i followed an easy tutorial on how to copy it over to a USB thumbdrive.

It was fairly painless, but took a few hours. You can get one with windows on it, but it costs an extra $150. I figured i'd just do it myself and save the $$
