| Post subject: | Finished My Bender |
I finally finished my Tubing bender. Its based on the JD2 manual model but I machined 3/4'' Thick arms where they used 1/2" and Made it Hydraulic. It bends like Butter. about 1 minute to bend to 75 degrees in one stroke of the ram. If I need to go more I just re-pin it and continue up to about 190 degrees. No More store bought cages for me! I got my cylinder and pump through a deal and got the valve and some fittings through northern tool. they also have the cylinders and pumps. I got alot of info from the guys on http://www.offroadfabnet.com/ they have a whole bender section on their board. |

i got a rigid hand bender for 1/2" tube for bending moly tube. comes in handy for fuel cell/pump mounting and fiberglass parts etc. that worked out alot better for me than buying another die. |
