Senate will vote tonight supposedly sometime between 8:30 and 10:00 PM. Don't expect the house to vote again until Friday. Then the two bills need to be brought together assuming they don't vote on the senate bill to begin with. A bunch of pork has already been added to the bill. Sec. 316. Railroad track maintenance. Sec. 317. Seven-year cost recovery period for motor sports racing track facility. Sec. 324. Extension of enhanced charitable deduction for contributions of book inventory. Sec. 308. Increase in limit on cover over of run excise tax to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Sec. 502. Provisions related to film and television productions. Extension and modification of duty suspension on wool products; wool research fund; wool duty refunds. Sec. 601. Secure rural schools and community self-determination program. We should fire the whole bunch of jerks in D.C. and start over. |
