so i did my friends wives front brakes last night.

"I've been hearing a grinding noise for 3 months."

I saw a front rotor one time and it had worn all the way through the disc portion and the brake pad was rubbing on the vanes.

I asked the lady how long it had been making noise and she said "oh - it just started doing that...".

I've seen them here where they went almost through the fins! They finally had to bring it because the piston fell out!

lol. ok, mine wasnt that bad. was like 1/8" groove in about a 1" spot.
