Yes I am in one of THOSE areas that got hit by the storm sunday and my power is still out I am currently at my mother in laws using her computer.
and we were starting to smell up the place so we also did a shower stop. LOL

I lost a tree in my back yard and it took out part of my daughters playscape but could have been worse. thats why I have no trees close to the house!

Can you believe as soon as i wrote this and then went home at midnight it was back on. WOO HOOO
Then it took another hour just to get everything back to normal and all the extension cords put away.
Man you dont realize how much you need it till its gone.

I think I am going to look into a hookup to the house so that if it happens to me I can run the house...

I had that setup when we lived in the country, but gave it all up when we moved to town.

I had a 5000W Campbell Hausfield wired into the house; it could run everything except the dryer and the air conditioner.
