Build it for NPS. SM is a good class, but NPS has more of the "prestige" and purse that the class and series need. But the new rules do allow for a GOOD smaller motor to compete. My 2 cent, and it's in Canadian funds, which means it don't mean Sh!t. |

New rules for the smaller motors are, under 500 inch, -6 line and "unlimited" jet, READ FULL ON FOGGER, also 2800 lbs to 425 inch's, and 4 lbs per inch after that. So my 499 weights in around 3090 or so this year, not 3250, and like I said, BIG jet. Like a Mikho size, 7/8" line size for the spray. GoGo gadget racecar. ![]() |

No insult meant here, John. NPS is a purpose built car for NPS only. It does not cross over to other classes inside or outside the NSCA easily. There is a 7.50 cap on that class for a reason. I personally would build a car that can cross over to other classes with ease. We do have a 10.5 Milan race which seems to be bring out the people. Also the OSCA, Martin, Norwalk, Byron and Stanton (thinking about it) all have a 10.5 tire race. These classes do not have a cap on them. Being 3200#'s has a 7.50 cap per SFI. Don't trap yourself in a corner if you have options... Just my 2 cents... |
