I'm at $450.00 fo Airfare and a rental car for a week.
Now just find a cheep hotel to take a shower and I'm all set.

I have found this to be a decent hotel. It is as close to the track as you are going to get and there are a few other cool kids that are going to be staying htere. Also have you ever tried priceline for rental cars? I have found that is usually the best way to get a good deal on a rental car.

I usually go thru Alamo, They give us a break thru work and they're on of the few that will do debit card.
They also have a 10% of if You pay in advance right now.
$170.00 for a G6 for a week, I didn't think that was to bad.

Days Inn is better there.... plus the High Speed net is better...... call them direct and ask for the Commercial Rate I got it for $59 a night(last week) and its a nicer hotel its in the same circle as the other hotels right off I-75 $ RT 64 (the road the tracks on)

Jimmy... I had a bad experience with that days in. The first year that was where we stayed and we had a couple... actually alot of guests in our room. I know it is flordia and sometimes there is nothing that you can do about the bugs BUT this was gross. If there is one thing that I can not stand it is creepy crawlers. Besides that I remember the hotel being ok. There is also a Red Roof Inn in that same circle that is resonably priced. There is a holiday inn and comfort inn too. If you are looking for something nicer there is a Hampton Inn that is one exit up the road in Ellenton and there is an outlet mall there. If you go a little more south there is just about everything that you could need/want. But the circle where the motel 6,days inn and the other hotels is the closet to the track. FYi if you fly into tampa there is about a half hour 45 min drive to the track. IF you do not like bridges AVOID the sunshine tollway.

I think they re did it.... it was nice..... the Holiday Inn Express was too pricey same with the Hampton Inn (no high speed net there either) Red Roof is OK but no high speed
