We just got this new fire truck,

2006 5500 Chevrolet Duramax with the 5 speed alison.

I can just imagine taking off the utility body and replacing with a dually bed.
It would make a sweet tow rig.

Ive seen a few of them tooling around. I saw a Furd one yesterday on the way home. the Chevy ones are TOUGH.

thats all??? you can spend that on a dually Crew Cab with a diesel no problem.

I'm thinking our price was $42,000, but that is 4 wheel drive and with the PTO.
GM was the only one that would back it with the 1000gpm PTO pump.
