no, i wouldnt say anything like that. it is discouraging and irritating and depressing at the same time. i know how you feel man-trust me. dont let it get the best of you.

Im moving on. headed to sears in a few minutes to buy some crows feet to fix my stupid Cummins. Im having a hard time spending $1500 on a fuel pump.

Not much, just all the parts between the valve cover & the oil pan................

Ooops I forgot, I dont have an oil pan. LOL.

what happened to the big block in your car? you get rid of it?

Nope I still have it. the problem is that its pretty much a stock Impala 427. I have not yanked the pan off of it yet, but I would guess they are stock rods. the crank has a 50/50 chance of being cast & I would guess even if they did put good rod bolts in it, the crank & rods wont be too happy with a 1200 HP turbo pushing on them. Heck the heads I had on it, were virgin oval port cast iron heads. I was REALLY surprised when I took the intake off of it & found that they were not ported @ all. LOL.

so................ we will see. I was going to sell all the piece parts & help fund the new motor. but, I might just stick good rod bolts in it, stick some C16 in it & yank as much timing out as I can & pray it hangs together. thats down the road though. we need a sofa, I need to fix the truck, I need to put breaks & tires on the trailer, we have to tent the house for termites, put new tires on Mama's Mini-Van AND I need to buy the SFI stuff for the car, before I can even think of taking it down the track. so we will see.

I feel your pain, try 4 rug rat's 1 turn's 16 in may, the wife is into car's the yungest just started jr dragster, i'm trying to get my car done, all on a single income. man i need a drink.

I keep telling my wife, we dont know how good we got it. ours are 8 & 10 & they dont cost us anything. wait until they are teenagers & want money to do things & new clothes & such. :roll:
