Are you routing the tubes to the collector in a circular firing order????

List out the firing order..

18436572....

On the drivers side you have 1, 3,5,, and 7 for a firing order on that collector.
On the passanger side you have 8, 4, 6, and 2 for a firing ordeer on that collector.

Now, do the tubes going into the collector in those order create a circle pattern or do they criss/cross????

They are going to be criss-cross. I wanted to keep them in the right firing order, but with the way the tubes come out & with the lack of space, it was just not possible. I talked with a number of folks & pretty much they all agreed that it did not matter that much. If it was a NA or Nitrous motor it would be important, but the Turdbowl dont care.

Your not siliently rolling your eyes are you???? LOL. Its the first time building a set of headers & the first time for a turbo setup, so I figured I would end up building another set @ some point. I might try to get crafty on the 2nd set. we will see.

Its gonna be small. I have a CI limit & a turbo size limit for Real street. it will be 426 CI with an 88mm turbo. I am going to stick with a standard deck hight 4.250 Bore Dart block, I have a Billet crank that puts it right @ 426 inches. Im running a set of off the shelf AFR 305's. Victor Jr with a CSU 850 Blow Through carb. Im using 2" primaries with 3" collectors. 4" downtube off of the back side of the turbo.

I know that the car will make more power with higher end parts, but as I mentioned before, the car will not cert to anything faster than 8.50's (hell it might not cert to that, LOL), so there is no point in making any more power. I want to build it once & for it to last a few seasons. I dont mind upgrading &/or improving, but I dont want to be changing pistons every weekend.

see anything messed up with the stuff I have? I have REALLY tried to to buy my parts smart & get it right the first time. hopefully I have done a good job of that. about the only things I dont have yet is internals of the motor:

rods
pistons
block
new exhaust valves
shaft rockers
Cam

thoughts?

If there was a list of people how have the least amount of knowledge about a turbo setup I would be at the top of it Bob. Sounds like it should be a good piece.....
