Okay, I want to run the Milan Saturday Shootout Series 11.00 Index class. My car currently runs 10.75-10.80's with no weight in the car, 38* of timing, shifting at 6800rpm, etc. I tried all day Saturday to slow it down and no matter what I did the car would hang in the 10.80's no matter what !!!!!!. Finally ended up with the following....100 lbs in the car, 32* of timing, 5800rpm ship in the air shifter, leave the line at 2200 rpm, and a total of 1 inch taken out of the throttle. on the last pass of the day the car had a 1.51 60 ft., 6.96 to the 1/8 and ran an 11.0018 @ 121 mph. I called it good put it in the trailer and came home. Never thought trying to slow a car down would be such an ordeal....LOL.
Jim
