Yeah...I hate working weekends....in fact I'm not real fond of work at all!

Never! My oldest has two childern (my grand children..obviuosly) that are a rip to have around. Unfortunately I don't have them as often as I would like. My younger daughter is the director of communications at a private school about 10 miles away and we try to meet for lunch at least once a week. My parents live about 15 miles away (longevity runs in the family, Dad turned 90 this year) I usually try to stop by there 3-4 times a week. I also help Jimmy a few days a week so, although it's technically work, I really enjoy what we do. So I still consider myself retired (or retarded...I get confused so easily). We do commercials for local businesses that run on the local cable channels and in the spare time we film drag racing, cruise nights and do Shop Stop tours for Jimmy's web site
www.yourwaynetwork.com. See:

I do some of the filming, Jimmy does most of the filming when we're racing unless we are at different races. In that case I cover one and he does the other. Also I do the computer editing when it's required. Jimmy does a lot of the editing in the analog film decks. I guess the only other thing is the Nostalgia Super stock Car run by my cousin Jim. I help him with that, mostly I'm the gopher and keep track of what's going on with the computer. We run with the NSCA and a few invitational Nostalgia races in this area. So I keep pretty busy....in fact I have a hard time finding time to cut the grass!

(doesn't relly break my heart, but don't tell my wife). SOoo since I retired three years ago, I have continued to rise at 6:00 and usually get to bed after the 11:00 PM News. While I've been writing this my son stopped three times to help him with a trailer he's building, Oh yeah... I have a 62 Impala Super Sport I cruise around in on weekends. Stock, 300 hp/ 327 c.i. 4 speed car. We're headed to a cruise at a local shopping center tonight, The really good news is my favorite Mexican restaurant is in the same Shopping Center. The joke is... all retirees say " I don't know how I got everything done before I retired." It's not really a joke. The truth is the family is what usually gets the short end of the deal while you're employed. Don't let that happen. Enjoy life while you're Young!
