You install your engine and trans as an assembly with you entire front clip off and it just goes in to easy, so you say to yourself cool so you start assembling the entire engine front clip MSD wiring etc.

Then a few days later after you section your mini tubs and get them all tacked in place you deside to put it up on the hoist to fab your 3 1/2" exhaust and you look at your oil pan that is resting nicely against your center link.

Yesterday was not a good day for me and my project (anyone gotta a match), I installed a truck pan because my other motor wasn't finished yet and I didn't want to spend that 300.00 for a new pan when that 300.00 could be used somewhere else.

So now I have to fight and install a new pan and pickup with the motor in the car, even though I have a hoist to work on I am not going to enjoy this.

There now I feel better, thanks for listening, I know none of you guys have ever had these problems before have you !!

Sorry to hear that Phil.
I had the same problem with my Camaro. I just took a section out of the front of the sump and welded it back together. If you need a hand let me Know. 8)
